The Shoe story - lesson plan. Konspekt lekcji języka angielskiego.

Duration: 45 minutes
Materials:
- handouts with pictures of shoes (high –heels, wellingtons, slippers, boots, trainers), copies of the handout with all the shoes twice on the page (gra w statki) and copies of the picture of trainers,

Topic: The Shoe story
Language used in the lesson:
Names of different kinds of shoes, shapes
“let’s go ..”

The aims of the lesson:
- to practice vocabulary connected with shoes, shapes and colours;
- to practice telling stories;
- to practice “let’s go ..”
- to practice present tenses for narration;
- to practice describing objects.

Procedure:
1. The teacher asks students some questions related
to the topic, for example: What colour are your shoes?, What kind of shoes are they?
2. The teacher present shoes: ”Hi, we are high –heels “
3. The students are asked to colour the pictures of shoes then they ask the partner :” What colour are your high –heels? And colour the second part of handout.
3. The teacher tell the story add present pictures of the shoes.

The Shoe story
Every night when whole family is already asleep the shoes are thinking about going somewhere. But they are having a problem because they can’t decide where to go.
“Let’s go dancing!”- say mum’s high –heels,
“Let’s go hiking!” –dad’s boots insist.
“No, let’s better stay at home” – say slipper.
“Let’s go running!” – say trainers.
“ No running but walking in the rain!” – say wellingtons.
And they quarrel all night long.
In fact they don’t go any where because they are not able to decide where to go.
Only in the morning mum asks ”Who is always making such a mess with shoes in the hall?”
She doesn’t know that every night shoes want to go outside, but they can’t decide where.

4. The teacher asks the students to act shoes..
5. The teacher asks the students to make their own patter with different shapes such as circles, squares, stars, rectangulars, ovals on the copy of trainers.
6. The students are asked to describe their trainers.
7. The teacher asks the students to act the shoes story
8.Repeat the new words.
