Aims of the lesson:
- get students possibility to use the future 'tense' (as well as reviewing past and present)
- discussion about future and predictions
- writing horoscopes

1. Introduction to the topic
- teacher writes word 'prediction' on the board and asks students to express their associations with the term
- learners express their connotations with the tem prediction

2. Introductory speaking
- teacher asks learners about their experiences and views about predictions
- learners give answers

3. Vocabulary task
- teacher asks learners about their zodiac signs, writes on the board all zodiac signs
- learners talk about their zodiac signs

4. Writing activity
- teacher asks learners to write a horoscope (health, money, love) for one person in group, collects horoscopes and distributes between students
- learners write horoscopes, get their own ones and present in front of the class

5. Grammar activity
- teacher asks students to draw a table with three columns, and think of anything in our day-to-day life that has changed from past to present
- learners fill in the table, then speak about changes; use different tenses. They work in groups of 3-4 people

6. Speaking activity
- teacher gives students quotations of famous past predictions
- leanrers explain how they know the predictions were wrong

7. Speaking activity
- teacher asks students to make a list of ten objects to put in trime capsule
- learners work in gropus and make a list, then explain their chocices

8. End to the topic- reading
- teacher gives learners principles of reading the future from hand
- learners read principles and llok on their hands, tell about their future to the class

9. Homework
- teacher explains the homework (learners have to write a short composition aboput life in year 2100, they have to use at least six words from the list:
- human
- space
- car
- genetic
- computer
- robot
- engineering
- air)

- learners do homework
