Konspekt lekcji języka angielskiego w II klasie licealnej np. na zakończenie 8 modułu podręcznika Opportunities Preintermediate. Przewidziany czas na zrealizowanie wszystkich ćwiczeń ok. 90 minut.

Cele szczegółowe:

1. Uczniowie oglądają film ze zrozumieniem i odpowiadają na pytania dotyczące tego filmu.
2. Uczniowie na podstawie obejrzanego filmu opisują dwie sławne budowle: Mount Rushmore i Taj Mahal.
3. Uczniowie potrafią opisać swoją ulubioną budowlę.

Pomoce:

• fragment filmu "10 Ultimate Man-Made Wonders" wyświetlanego w telewizji HBO,
• kopie pytań dla grup,
• kopie fragmentów artykułów.

Tok lekcji:

1. Rozgrzewka. Nauczyciel zapisuje na tablicy 6 słów związanych z tematem: describing buildings. (załącznik nr 1) Uczniowie decydują, które ze słów nie pasuje do pozostałych. NIE MA JEDNEJ POPRAWNEJ ODPOWIEDZI! TRZEBA UZASADNIĆ SWÓJ WYBÓR!!!
2. Ćwiczenie 1. Uczniowie zostają podzieleni na pięć grup. Każda z grup otrzymuje listę 4 pytań dotyczących filmu, który będą oglądać oraz ćwiczenie typu prawda/fałsz. Własną kopię otrzymuje każda osoba w grupie. (załącznik nr 2)
3. Uczniowie oglądają fragment filmu dotyczący Mount Rushmore i Taj Mahal.(9 minut)
4. Po obejrzeniu filmu uczniowie odczytują swoje odpowiedzi. Nauczyciel wyznacza odpowiadających uczniów.
5. Ćwiczenie 2. Następuje podział na 2 grupy. Nauczyciel prosi uczniów o odliczenie do dwóch. Tworzą się grupy: A i B i każda z grup pracuje nad opisem jednej z budowli opisanych w filmie. Każda z grup otrzymuje kartkę z fragmentami artykułów dotyczących Mount Rushmore i Taj Mahal. (załącznik nr 3) Uczniowie muszą wybrać zdania dotyczące "ich" budowli i wkomponować je w opis swojej budowli. Jedno ze zdań nia należy do żadnego z artykułów. Ale nie mówimy o tym uczniom przed przystąpieniem do zadania. Sami odnajdują "kłopotliwe" zdanie.
6. Ćwiczenie 3. Uczniowie korzystając z informacji zdobytych w trakcie obejrzenia filmu oraz posiadanych wiadomości dotyczących opisywania budowli konstruują opis budowli.
7. Ćwiczenie 4. Każda grupa prezentuje swój opis podczas gdy uczniowie z drugiej grupy zapisują najistotniejsze wiadomości.
8. Praca domowa. Uczniowie przygotowują opisy obydwóch budowli oraz opis budowli wybranej przez siebie.
